Sand Filters

 A top mount sand filter features a multiport valve on the top of the filter tank. This is the most common type for residential pools due to its compact design and ease of installation. These offer excellent performance for small to medium-sized pools. 

 A side mount sand filter has a multiport valve installed on the side of the filter tank. This design provides easier access to the internal components, making maintenance and sand replacement more convenient. These filters are commonly used in medium to large residential pools and offer reliable filtration. The horizontal valve positioning allows better plumbing layout in some setups and can help reduce head loss due to smoother water flow. 

 Commercial sand filters are heavy-duty filtration systems designed for large-scale applications such as public pools, water parks, and resorts.  These filters are engineered to handle high flow rates, provide long service intervals, and ensure consistent water clarity in high-use environments.
